`TRUTH' and `REALITY'
|
|
Like `wants' and `needs', truth and reality get confused. Here we'll try to find if there's a `real' difference between them.
Reality is `everything that happens around a person' - so that means it has to be lived or experienced, rather than being forecastable, or even describable in a scientific sense. ref01
Which then means that everyone has their own perception or version of `reality'.
That's because each of us `physically' perceives the external world slightly differently, ref02 and each of us carries a unique baggage of a life-time's concepts and assumptions which further influence those perceptions. ref03
And all this happens mostly without our knowing. ref04
On the other hand, it seems that small amounts of `Truth' might be distilled from our experiences, if great care is taken to compensate for the effects of faulty perceptions, ref05 & ref06 and false assumptions. ref07
Results might be surprising, maybe to be taken in small doses.
Certainly establishments do not welcome too much truth, ref08 because establishments fear change. ref09
