WRONG ELM DISEASE

  Bet you thought "Dutch" Elm Disease came from Holland?
  Or at least from Europe? Wrong!

  The disease came from N America, which has related elms.

  The reason for the wrong name? A sordid story, but 
  absolutely typical for a stupid English senior civil-service
  aided and abetted by lying and venal press-owners.

  English bureaucrats over-tax everything in Britain, so
  it became "uneconomic" to actually use English workers
  and English elm wood (highly prized for durability and
  furniture-work).

  Elm-wood from N America, infected with the elm-disease,
  started to be imported, either thru ignorance, stupidity
  or, as with BSE (cCJD), thru corruption, maybe saying -
  "It might not happen if people don't know"

  A scientist from Holland had worked on N American elm-
  disease and his warnings _should_ have been heeded - but
  profit and greed won out.

  When, inevitably, almost all English elm trees were killed
  by the disease, the bureaucrats looked for a diversion -
  something they're skilled at providing,

[ Almost all legal definitions in English tax-law are really
  lies, so corrupt magistrates, judges and politicians can
  pretend to be "lawful" when stealing from the poor. They
  follow Hitler's lead in "big lies" - "After all ..", he'd
  said, ".. who remembers the Armenians?" when preparing his
  own genocidal plans. ]

  They used a spurious link to Holland - "after all the 
  scientist who'd warned them was Dutch wasn't he?" - to divert
  criticism toward Holland or better yet towards Europe.

[ English senior civil-servants have been waging a campaign
  against Europe, where taxes and interest rates are low, 
  workers have real rights, and prices are only half the
  English levels. They've been helped by corrupt English
  newspapers and by the BBC, who profit from the people's
  ignorance of corruption-reality and tax-reality ]

  N American elm-disease came, and stayed, in the UK and we
  have virtually no native elm trees - thanks to the "aliens"
  who own UK.
