WELCOME to independent thinkers, researchers, pioneering unis & other forward looking folk Started as a single-handed project - just one science report, then social, ecological and many other pages, checking data from around the world; and hopefully finding fresh approaches - maybe leading to fresh conclusions. Why? - Too much of the `data' published by government, bureaucracy (even by edu. and science orgs) proves to be misleading or downright wrong. Often they're well-meaning hopes, or just guesses, but can also be lies; specially on science, media, society, law, social awareness and strategy. Yes, that's all the `minds, power, money, and morals' control-type info. For many reasons, mainstream media shy off such subjects and even good sci & edu folk are muzzled by politicos - by funding and tenure blackmail. `Mistakes' happen all the time, somehow making bad things happen to folk like you and me - ordinary people who need to know what's really happening. That's why offers of `sponsorship' - commercial or otherwise - have been turned down (from USA, Europe & China - so far). Those with money enough to sponsor most often want to suppress (some) info. YOUR side: you use or share info for other folk to use - helping figure things out. You're needed, let's face it - personally don't have time, money or even savvy to do it alone. Anyhow, strictly speaking have English only as a second language, so all advice is welcome. Thing is, anybody can do it, you don't have to be a `gov't expert' - fact is you (and me) are probably better equipped as we are. PROJECTS: try `search' for your topics or key-words. And if you want - browse the site map. BTW - find external comment and criticism with any search-engine; just type < your topic + perceptions.couk >. BTW2 - handy dictionary and encyclopedia on that `search' page, and RSS feed's available at `news' page. BTW3 - there's `TRANSLATE' (TRADUZIR) options at top of most HTML pages. BTW4 - there's a "Visitors Map" button at very bottom of most HTML pages. It doesn't show your location, just ISPs who identify themselves. Details at www.perceptions.couk.com/privacy.txt - or click PRIVACY POLICY link, towards bottom of HTML pages. Please use `contact' button - www.perceptions.couk.com/mail.html - to send info on problems, omissions, typos - also for news, reports & comments, all are welcome. A page may've been finished after a hard day, or late night (still single -handed), so give me a shout if you spot meandering or waffle. cheers Ray D FURTHER REFERENCES GO - "search perceptions" - in SEARCH-ENGINE file-ID www.perceptions.couk.com/welcome.txt
