 Don't be surprised if you're attacked for original thinking; it's a sad trait of some
 humans to fear the unknown.  So those who've never had an original thought will maybe
 resent having their complacency shaken.

 Research* shows that new ideas are feared and denied by some people, who are -


 -  likely to be less intelligent - more `conformist'

 -  likely to be more fearful: ie. inclined to paranoia

 -  likely to be liking of `authority': ie. inclined to control freakery

 -  likely to miss, and then deny, anomalous events that can be seen by others

 -  likely to lie to defend / bolster own `views': ie. to be corruptly non-impartial

 Liars:

 If you find someone is lying, for argument or advantage, the wisest and kindest action
 is for you to stop responding to that person immediately - no further discussion.

 Because a frank rejoinder from you could be damaging to a weak-minded liar, or trigger
 a psychotic one.

 However, most folk are intelligent and forward-looking, and that situation seems to be
 improving: ie. there were more abusers in the past. (Think Sodom and Gomorrah maybe?)
