Hello, you may not remember my letter (of 23 March
) that gave a prospective detector of ftl communication. The theory behind
the offer was part of patent applications which prevented me from going into
details - details that maybe would [have] added some credence to what I admit
probably looked to be a fairly incredible scenario.
I now think I should make a gift of the whole theory to the world - along
with all applications that I have been able to think of, which are many and
various. These are now being published, among other places at
"UEF"they mainly use the effects of UEF: gravitation, inertia
(including all 'conservation' laws), nuclear 'forces', molecular threshold
(gas-liquid-solid) 'forces', cellular & genetic 'forces', etc.
An application NOT readily thought of concerns the
composition and travel of the basic UEF force
or field. Large-scale, detectable natural perturbations in the field (I think)
can only be caused by violent redistribution of mass - perhaps a star going
nova but more likely the explosion of a galactic core (for whatever reason).
I think it is these perturbations that we mean when we talk of "gravity
waves" and this explains why we cannot detect "gravity waves" by conventional
[direct electromagnetic measurement] means. A form of the detector I have
outlined WOULD function as a "gravity wave" detector.
However my initial reason for developing the idea was to discover the
BEST [most likely] possible means of communication by an advanced
civilisation. This is necessarily fast - much faster than light, of infinite
range - [relatively] unaffected by maybe all the mass in the universe,
and lastly, not easily discoverable by the (possibly) cruder life forms [such
as we are].
I think the detector - outlined at
setigift.html and linked
pages - will act as a crude detector of an ftl transmission using modulation
of the UEF. [A transmitter would be a more complex affair.]
The limiting factor [as to what signal content can be transmitted
or received ] in both is of course the response speed of the modulating or
demodulating mechanism, in our model the response of whatever are chosen
as gamma-ray detectors and comparator. yours RD
