Sat Oct 6, 2007 3:58 pm Looks like last couple of days' mag 5's and 6's were due to last quarter Moon swinging through alignment with departing Venus (still quite close after overtaking us on the inside). It seems next set of triggers will come in the week following New Moon (11 Oct). December is dominated by Mars getting close. After New Moon on the 9th (triggers after day or so) there should be more around 15th/16th - Moon line-up with Earth and nearing Mars. But last days of December - first few days of January looks like a bumpy ride, both for seismic triggers and for solar storm triggers. Seen from above ecliptic, Mars - Earth - Sun - Mercury - Jupiter (and Pluto) should align up-and-down, and Venus - Sun - Uranus cross-wise, all on 20th Dec (approx). And the Moon's set to swing into Full position a few days later (24th) aligning with Mars (very close and more-or less in line with Earth and Sun) - we can expect distinct and separate seismic results from that (24 - 29th), among other things that might be happening. - The solar storm outlook is a bit messier because the Sun could be pulled in three / four directions at once. a) towards us _and_ also directly away from us (towards Mercury - Jupiter) - so expect a quick sun-spot or flare pointing our way (roughly) after the 20th, while any Jupiter / Mercury results point towards us maybe 12 - 13 days afterwards. b) Sun's also pulled towards Venus (to our `right' so safer) and also a bit to Uranus (to our `left' - so any result points towards us around 25th - 29th). That's because the Sun's equator takes about 25 days to rotate, and more for higher latitudes - which makes calculating a bit approximate (without NASA equipment / know-how). cheers Ray ------------------------------------------------ Background and maybe more forecasts at www.perceptions.couk.com/uef/checkalign.html ------------------------------------------------ FURTHER REFERENCES GO - "search perceptions" - in SEARCH-ENGINE file-ID www.perceptions.couk.com/uef/oct07.txt
