The Power of ZERO

  Indian mathematics is said to have first used the power of ZERO.

  [ Ascribed by some to Aryabhata - b. 476 CE ] 

  It enabled them to prise apart many otherwise unsolveable problems.

  Much later the inquisitive rising Arab cultures, during contacts with India,
  imported ZERO under the name of `sifr' - "empty" - a word still meaning ZERO
  when used in one particular sense when saying "he's only a cypher" - meaning
  "he's a no-personality type" - non-independent.

  In addition to math calculations, ZERO allowed a new invention: a decimal
  notation (number) system. By adding ZERO you multiply by ten.

  The biggest steps were taken in India and Arabia by the invention and
  development of algebra (Al-Jabr) and the beginning of `calculus'.

  All that happens, in `algebra', is that an intuitively unsolveable expression,
  with unknown factor(s), is easy to solve if you temporarily make the whole thing
  equal to ZERO.

  An "equation-to-zero".

  Then the individual terms can be substituted, manipulated, cancelled-out and
  extracted to arrive at solutions for an unknown term which are then easily
  proven correct or not, by substituting in the original "equation".

  There's a `real' analogy here - available to anyone who needs to do detective
  work involving (complex) physical or even social circumstances (factors).

  This is - first make the whole setting equal to ZERO.

  I.e. - deemed as worthless, untrustworthy, possibly fraudulent.

  Then, by multiplying or dividing by _known_ terms (using `cui bono?' or
  "who benefits?" etc.), i.e.  manipulating & cancelling - you now have a better
  chance of finding the correct solution.

  BUT - average police-men, civil-servants are most often handicapped by their
  non-zero assumptions, i.e of the "rightness" (of establishment, the rich etc.)
  and assumptions of "wrongness" (of the poor, of the lone independent investigator
  or critic).

  Main problems with analysis by police, magistrates, judiciary or by bureaucrats:

  1 lack of intellectual competence - (ability to know, and to direct their own
  mental processes) - they're typically appointed - (there aren't any elected
  police-chiefs or judges in UK) - because they claim to favor / "defend" the
  `status quo'. I.e. - complacent (or corrupt). 

  2 inherent corruption - they are motivated by same goals as the elite bullies,
  frauds or perverts, because they belong to - or aspire to - same social (sometimes
  `secret society') groupings.


  I.e the `establishment' therefore does NOT want intelligent policemen, or
  police-work, or magistrates or judges - Why not?
 
  Because most criminal frauds and perverts are part of the establishment.

  So the (unwritten) job-advert for a policeman, magistrate or judge remains
  "Wanted - thick nosey, corrupt bully or pervert."  


  In English "upper-class" this has permitted the growth of networks of fraudulent
  abusers of public power - and networks of pedophiles - among aristocrats, judges,
  bishops, bureaucrats, diplomats, politicos - and of course among senior police
  & `councillors' & magistrates etc.

  Example - NO arrests / prosecutions / convictions of elite for hard drugs
  - even though elite are officially known to be highest users of hard drugs
  - and the individuals are known to both police _and_ judges

  BUT routinely thousands of working-class or minority folk are arrested _and_
  prosecuted for usage of herbs, mushrooms etc - that's pervert abuse of authority
  for you.    

  Reasons:
  We see the police detective takes his orders from a police-chief who belongs
  to same families, social groups, secret-societies as do the criminals.

  He is therefore not permitted (and not able) to reduce these factors to ZERO,
  and each generation's elite bullies, frauds and perverts are only exposed long
  afterwards, by other investigators.

  The same "equation-to-ZERO" works with Science.

  Bacon and Descartes both claimed to be first inventors and users of the
  system of `scientific thought'.

  Actually, this is still the only way to science discovery - and hence not
  much used by government-controlled researchers, who're motivated to want
  control and domination. I.e. - they don't really want to look for truthful
  "scientific" answers. ]

  And that really means _all_.  All religious political, financial motives
