when a politician is said to be:-

- `well-informed'
= has read (temporary) gov't propaganda on the subject;

- `very well-informed'
= as above PLUS has read Press barons' propaganda on the subject;

- `expert'
= as above PLUS has read civil service propaganda on the subject;



when a politician says:-

- `there is no evidence that ... '
= Gov't and Press are keeping the lid on;

- `I have seen no evidence that ... '
= the lid's coming off but Gov't-paid experts still deny the evidence;
