This message is meant for Will Hutton - but finding an email for him seems difficult so please forward this if you can.

In the past we have been asked - by a broadsheet editor - to be selective in our writing on taxation. We have refused because that would be dishonorable and unfair to the majority of British people, who pay very high rates of net taxation.

So when a public figure makes a "selective" statement about taxation but claims that it applies to the 'country in general', as you did yesterday in "Straw Poll" - then "Perceptions" would be hypocritical not to point out the error.

You'll find the report at http://www.perceptions.couk.com/biglie.html
