In the past we have been asked - by a broadsheet editor - to be selective
in our writing on taxation. We have refused because that would be dishonorable
and unfair to the majority of British people, who pay very high rates of
net taxation.
So when a public figure makes a "selective" statement about taxation but
claims that it applies to the 'country in general', as you did yesterday
in "Straw Poll" - then "Perceptions" would be hypocritical not to point out
the error.
