Dear Ray,

This is very ironic:

"In `Popular Astronomy', January 27, 1912, a Dr. F. B. Harris described an intensely black object that he saw crossing the moon. As nearly as he could tell, it was gigantic in size - though again there was no way to be sure of its distance from him or the moon. With careful understatement, Dr. Harris said, "I think a very interesting and curious phenomenon happened that night."

Last Sunday, November 5/6, 11:30 pm-1:30 am, I went atop a 24 story building with my friend, Alan Bowman, to do some astronomy as the Moon was full, the weather clear and NO WIND. I took my Sony Digital video camera with me and shot the star Sirius for a few minutes and the Moon for half an hour, both the full orb and extreme close-ups (210 x)...

When I viewed the tape last night, I found about 3 seconds of tape in which a huge round, black object crossed the Moon.

I viewed the tape several times in slow motion and frame by frame... I am still trying to convince myself that it is a perfectly ROUND Black Bird.

BTW... Did you see my Apollo 16 "Sky Object" on UFO Digest?

Also check out Chapters 1 & 2 of "TMA-1: The Martian Artifact."

Please feel free to post these links on your site.

Yes Tim, too right.

There's a sort of amnesia about the long list of sightings - by educated observers - that are suppressed as "old stuff" by those who also dismiss newer sightings as just "new stuff". See -

[Maybe also - `Why reports stopped c. 1950'] )

Seems no evidence is worthy of the attention of those who don't want to consider that evidence.  [Or daren't?]

BTW - maybe it's due to keeping your eyes open and being alert - I've always found that `ironic' and serendipitous things tend to happen more often than folks think.

Hello Robert!
I have once spoken with a close associate of the photo archivist working for the Canadian Department of National Defense who told me about the massive and amazing collection of UFO photographs they have. Although I was not permitted to see this secret collection of UFO images, I was allowed to view some other pictures which included one very interesting photo of a UFO. I requested a copy of this photo which I later received a copy of in the mail.

It is interesting to note that full scale contact negatives had been made of all the photos in their collection, most of which were taken by non-DND or military photographers. Although the original negatives were no longer existence, the larger contact negatives they now had were used to make later generation prints. The UFO photo which I requested a copy of was made from such a contact negative and not the original one.

If the original New Zealand Navy photo had a tear or thumbtack hole in it and the original negative was lost, then the large-format black and white negative mentioned in the article must be a duplicate or contact negative. If this is indeed the case, then there would be no tear or blemish visible on this contact negative but the image of the "flying saucer" would still be there.

If it is shown without a doubt that this image is indeed of a real object, then this flying saucer cannot be a disk-shaped object since the lighting and shadows we would expect to see for such a three dimensional object are not present. It could be that this flying saucer is a two dimensional object such as a kite or more likely dirt or a similar small particle on the film when the photo was taken but which fell off when the film when it was developed.

For the reasons I mentioned in my post to UFO UpDates and several others, there is very little to support the view that this flying saucer is a large object in the distant sky in front of the warship as some would have us believe.

If this New Zealand Navy photo is accepted by ufologists as among the best but few examples of a real flying saucer but is later shown that they were wrong, this would introduce new doubts about the whole subject of flying saucers and help to promote the widely held view that all UFOs are misidentified natural or Earthly phenomena.

Re: Our previous discussion of Japanese venture capital investment in genetic modification of seeds, pharmaceuticals and DNA research...

Please read the links below regarding Japanese involvement ancient DNA cloning studies (below) provided by my friend, Ray Dickenson.

They are planning to clone a mammoth using an elephant as the mother.

Five years ago, I learned of an Egyptian-Japanese "joint venture" to clone Ramses II (Pharoah of the Exodus period)!

They were very serious about it and it has been "hush hush" ever since then. One Egyptian said "No one deserves to be raised back to life more than Ramses II."

This would really have profound religious and metaphysical implications regarding the resurrection of Christ and the "end of the world" myths of all world religions.

I wondered even then if their plan was to clone Ramses as "The Mahdi" (Muslim Messiah) to become the next Pharoah of a Muslim New World Order.

Who knows what kinds of monsters, whether mammoths or "Mahdis," could result from such experimentation, especially, if degeneration/mutation of DNA has occurred!

The report I saw was on CBC when I had access to Canadian Broadcasting through News World International...the "good ol' days."

Right Bob,
A quick search on "ancient DNA" gave a start-up Japanese site: which might be useful in future - and, more interestingly, this 2005 PLOS (Biology) review of the situation by Henry Nicholls:

"Because of the decay that occurs with time, there is a limit to how far back aDNA can gaze (Box 1). "Your ideal preservation conditions are something that falls under ice, freezes instantly, and stays frozen until you get it," says Cooper. "As soon as we get up to 2 million [years ago] we can't get anything to work, and that's even under deep-frozen conditions." But within the past 60,000 years, there are several major evolutionary events that are worth studying - including a glacial maximum around 18,000 years ago, the invasion of the New World by humans about 12,000 years ago, and a global mass extinction about 11,000 years ago. These relatively recent events should be a good model for working out how similar events affected genetic diversity throughout evolutionary history."

As you can see, at least one of those assumptions is changing already (since Feb 2005). His other points seem interesting - and yes, Neanderthal is in the article also, a bit further on.

30 Oct. '06 - A different sort of letter from Karin

Date: Date: Sun, 22 Oct 2006 22:28:43 +0100 From: "Karin"

Hi Ray,
I'm an Experiencer and I've counseled other Experiencers (I'm also a hypnotherapist with degrees in science, philosophy, and education) and been privy to many accounts of different states of consciousness.

Science being unable to define 'Consciousness stuff' is Excellent!  Gives us all room to think.  Anyway, science needs replication and blind studies and things this sort of knowledge can't be defined by.  Anecdotal evidence is as close as we can get, isn't it? (And personal experience.)  So, heave-ho to the scientific method, really. But, that's an aside :-)

I won't exaggerate and I'm not a "compulsive dream reporter", honestly! I used to keep a diary for a while and realized that sometimes I'm precognitive and that dreams can be funny the next day.  And since awakening to the fact that my weird experiences might be meaningful I've tried awfully hard not to recall any dreams. Nor have any more Experiences as I've had enough to take forever to figure out.  But, the dreams I had before which were different, that changed my life in some way, those are very like the #1 of the "interrogation type" dreams you describe.

1) A long 'situational dream' with many happenings, involving known people-types (sometimes even specific individuals), that the dreamer feels is a 'test' of intelligence and even of morality.  Dreamer can report feeling a bit guilty if 'failing' too many times.

One of them even ended when a monster came out of deep water and ate the guy in front of me---the action stopped and beings came rushing in from the side. Maybe mistakes happen there, as well?

1a) A sub-set seems almost identical except that small segments get replayed in 'fast-forward' several times as if giving dreamer a set of multiple choices on certain questions.  Dreamer is somehow aware that these segments are 'dreams within a dream'.

I awoke to something buzzing on the end of my nose ---- and then something "clicked" and I saw a billion pictures of places in succession---way too fast to catch consciously. Then there was something like crinkling red cellophane over it all and it was gone and I found myself out of body looking at my own nose. Then I realized how ridiculous it was and I was back in my body. Now, that was weird!

2) A cine-review or slide-show moving across field of view - many complex, high detail pictures, charts or diagrams, some richly color-coded and all with dense intellectual content - almost all known to the dreamer but some just out of knowledge or comprehension. Again, dreamer can report feeling elated or guilty if they think they've 'passed' or 'failed'.

Gee, I'd like to have one of these! But I haven't.

What do you think? Do these represent only internal mind-states?

No, honestly---not since I read the works of Ida Kannenberg. She's in her 90s now but still sharper than I am; a Contactee from the old days. She's honed her ability to take psychic dictation and , damn!, if it all doesn't help to make sense of most of all this weirdness. She's written about the psychic and spiritual (how it all began and why) and the physics of a lot of weird stuff, making sense of it.

These dreams are initiatory, her contacts have told her--they follow the same format of the initiations of the old secret religions. Now as for why, she's been told it's to help us improve ourselves because some cousin of ours want's to transcend and we have to be able to move, too, for it to happen.

Or could they be, as they seem, externally sourced tests or interrogations?

Probably! At least, they may be intended as such but I don't think we quite get it---maybe because, as Ida says, we no longer think in symbolic form but in language. So, we take a lot of these dream tests literally, as well as the visions of doom we Experiencers get. Mine was of a nuclear holocaust and I awoke in a cold sweat--only time ever. Horrible! But, Ida says they're only showing us what our present karma is leading us towards---from actions we're making right now. It's like instant karma and avoidable.  Have you had unusual dreams like #1,2,3?  You can find Ida's collection of essays on sale soon: *Time Travelers From Atlantis* I'm its editor and publisher:-) It'll be available as both a softcover and an ebook at our website (free e-zine, too)

In respose to M, The worst I did was pour something onto a plant and I still feel guilty for lettting my disappointment, my emotions, control my action. Stabbing someone --- hey, folks get stabbed every day here in London. For no apparent reason, by single strangers and by gangs and by neighbors. Why do you and I get the interrogation/testing, then? Why can't the criminals be worked on instead? Or, are we works in progress ourselves?

Karin H

Mon a.m.

Hi Karin,
You've raised an interesting question there.

I hadn't thought about that, but it seems to be an extension of my little note on that message from M. I.e. that it would only be useful if the person (the dreamer) had some moral sense to _be_ interrogated.

Maybe those without moral senses (your `criminals' actually exist at all levels of society) aren't interrogated but simply *possessed by others* - because they can be?

I just want to let you know that I hold the World Record in Triple Disk Frisbee...

We throw 3 Frisbees, nested inside each other as ONE...
They split in the air into 3 and we have to catch all 3, catching 2 in one hand and this year we developed a technique to catch 3 with one hand.
Last August, I broke the old record of 72 by catching 81 successfully (I missed the 3rd one in about 100 other attempts). My partner caught 62.
81 catches equals 243 disks caught in an hour and 15 minutes.
62 catches = 186
Total " = 429 disks thrown and caught in 75 minute

There is no greater Quantum-Relativity sport on earth than Triple Disk Frisbee... (except "Thunderball", which I will describe to you at another time).
All told, including misses wherein we only caught 2 out of 3, my partner and I caught over 700 disks in that amount of time.

Frisbees appeared first the campus of Yale University in the fall of 1947, the Fall Semester after Roswell.

They get their name from the aluminum pie plates that they used made by the Frisbee Pie Company, which served pies to the undergrads in the Yale cafeteria.
Ouch, they must have hurt.

Putting A Spin On It
A new book about the dynamics of Frisbees, boomerangs, samaras, and skipping stones just published

More Frisbees are sold each year than baseballs, basketballs, and footballs combined. Yet these familiar flying objects have subtle and clever aerodynamic and gyrodynamic properties which are only recently being documented by wind tunnel and other studies.

In Spinning Flight, Ralph Lorenz discusses familiar, but largely undeveloped, topics concerning spinning objects in an accessible manner. "Toys" familiar to all of us are covered as well as high-tech products of the aerospace industry. The amply illustrated book includes not only the latest published results but also describes Lorenz's own experiments, with "how-to" instructions on how readers can do their own experiments.

Boomerangs, which represent another category of spinning aerodynamic body, are also discussed. Supported by equations and graphs, Lorenz explains how the shape and throw of a boomerang relates to its trajectory. The natural world presents still other examples, namely the samaras or "seed-wings" of many tree species, which autorotate during their descent, like a helicopter whose engine has failed. In addition to spinning objects of various shapes, the book also discusses several exotic manned aircraft with disc platforms - these include a Nazi "secret weapon" and the De Havilland Avrocar.

Ralph D. Lorenz is by training an aerospace engineer, but works as a planetary scientist. His main project during his 15-year career as an engineer and scientist has been the Huygens probe. In early 2005 this probe descended through the atmosphere of Saturn's moon Titan.

Dear Ray,

Although I subscribe to UFO Updates, I read a little bit and haven't paticipated in the public forum for a very long time.  I guess you could say I'm a "lurker".  I did, however, read your post and felt I could add my own experience to this.  I don't know if this will interest you but it has always baffled me.  You may share this info with others but I prefer to remain anonymous.  I recently came across a journal I had written many years ago and found this interesting entry.

--I had a "dream" earlier this year that astounded me.  It felt like I was placed in a "scenario".

My father and I were in the kitchen.  He was opening the window to fix the screen.  I asked him why and he replied that someone had tried to break into the house and had damaged the screen.  Then he told me that the people were still in the yard!  I looked out the window and saw 4 people in my backyard...2 men and 2 women.  The image of one man in particular remains very vivid.  He was of average height with the most piercing blue eyes (almost neon).  His hair was silver blond and styled in a very long spiked Afro-type cut.  I went out to the back yard and confronted them.  I told them they had to get off our property.  They refused.  I then attacked one of the women with a large knife ... continually stabbing her.  When she appeared to be dead, I turned to go back into the house.  As I reached the top of the porch stairs, she jumped me and started to slash at me with a sharp, razor-like object.  I started to stab her again.

At this point, the "dream" was interrupted ( it was as if it was a video freeze-frame) and I heard a voice saying..."You have handled this situation incorrectly." The voice proceeded to tell me that I should not have resorted to violence to resolve the problem.  I responded that their test was flawed!  I had reacted in a proper way given the current world situation with crime and violence.  I was protecting my family.  I then heard laughter...and someone said, "You are absolutely correct!"  That was all I could recall.--

Needless to say, I am not a violent person and the thought of stabbing a person is quite, well, "alien" to me.  I'd be interested in hearing what others think.

Hi M,
Thanks for your interesting message.  I have a feeling that "scenario" dream set - although it's in only a small number of reports - might happen to more people than we realize.

Though, thinking about it - it would seem to require a subject with a fairly developed sense of `morality' or of `right and wrong' to be of any use to the interrogator - whether that's the unconscious mind of the dreamer or some external agency.

I've placed your message - signed by "M" - on "perceptions metamail" (try Google) - and if further stuff comes in, hope to put it there with links to yours.

I am not suggesting that one go to Peru to study shamanism but I find this article very pertinent to the Grey Experience.

It makes me wonder if the Greys use an "ayahuasca-like substance" to achieve their effect over people and conduct soul snatching and soul splicing.  As Dr. David Jacobs point out in `The Threat', there are many accounts of the Greys rubbing salves and solutions on their abductees which put them into altered states of mind. I suspect that these salves combined with solvents that make it rapidly absorbable through the skin may serve such a function in confounding and later duping the abductee.

Dear collegue,
Please find attached the free article from Eric Julien, the author of The Science of Extraterrestrials. His book will be released worldwide the 10-10-06, only on, a very new world publishing company.

This is a great event for the publishing world because we change the rules of the publishers distribution. So, do not look for the book The Science of Extraterrestrials on or somewhere else. It will be available only on!

This book is a revolution in science, and especially in the field you are keen on : UFOs and paranormal. Already #1 in France in its category since a year:

The Science of Extraterrestrials should change many things in our knowledge of the universe:
"It is huge, it's like a Copernicus revolution just like the one in every millennium in sciences. This may be the most important book ever published on UFOs. I am still suspicious of theories-that-explain-it-all, but this book blew me away and I am bluffed". Michel Picard, author of Les OVNIs, laboratoire du futur (UFOs, Laboratory of Future)

"If the hypothesis, fascinating I must admit, of Eric Julien is verified directly or indirectly, so yes, that would explain all the paranormal, I indeed say all the SUPERNATURAL, more exactly all the NATURAL NOT ALREADY EXPLAINED, and one must give to him the Nobel prize of physics". Michel Carmassi (Phd) French Physicist

I am writing to inform you about the publication of my new book `The Science of the Dogon: Decoding the African Mystery Tradition'.  Dogon cosmology describes how a tribal god named Amma created matter.

What is of interest is that the mythological components of matter as described and diagrammed by the Dogon priests follow along in close parallel with actual science, matching component elements of atomic theory, quantum theory and string or torsion theory point for point.  The book includes a foreword by 'rogue' Egyptologist John Anthony West of Sphinx fame.

Also, this book is the prequel to (and prerequisite reading for) a planned Fall 2007 title `Deeper Meanings of the Egyptian Hieroglyphs', which will offer a new view of the Egyptian Hieroglyphic language based on science.

Some months ago a short film sequence was made public showing what we were told was a passenger aircraft hitting the Pentagon.

On watching this film (which was like a time lapse sequence of a handful of images) all I saw was a whiteish vapour trail fly just above a lawn before hitting a building.

If Bush and Co want us, the public / people of planet earth to believe that a passenger jet hit the Pentagon then we need to be shown the evidence.

And it must come from proper film - not digital images - as these are too easily 'photoshopped'.

Otherwise I will continue to hold the view that just like Krystalnacht when Hitler's thugs attacked the Riestag in Berlin, and had their human rights abolishing laws already written, so what happened in the USA on 9/11 was also an inside job.

Plus I will continue to hold the view that what is really going on is a war of terror against Terra and its human population.

There are the metaphorical 1001 conspiracy theories 'out there'.  Not only about the Pentagon, but also about the Twin Towers, concentration camps within the USA, railway boxcars with shackles inside, subterranean bases (Dulce, Pine Gap, etc) possibly with people who are not Earth Humans living in them, an army in space, secret bases on the Moon / Mars..... So do these theories have some validity? Are they being spread to divert attention from something else?

On 9/17/06, THansen wrote:

They haven't released it yet.  I think it is time for a special prosecutor to be appointed and begin the process of full disclosure of the facts, so we will know once and for all whether these "outrageous conspiracy theories" have any merit.

The article below and attached was published in Global Outlook Magazine and on several websites, and is cited in two recent books on 9/11, Christian Faith and the Truth Behind 9/11 by David Ray Griffin (p. 35), and in Towers of Deception: the Media Cover-up of 9/11, by Barrie Zwicker (p. 95).
Peace, Dr. Thomas Hansen

Outrageous Conspiracy Theories --- June 2005 Thomas Hansen, Ph.D., Charlottesville, Virginia

It is nearly a year since the 9/11 Commission report was finished and the investigation of the events of 9/11 officially came to a close.  But unofficially, many Americans have unanswered questions, and at least some of this hesitancy to close the book on 9/11 is because of the long-standing connection between the Bush Administration and the man who was the Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission, Dr. Philip Zelikow.

In a new book by Professor Emeritus David Ray Griffin of the Claremont School of Theology (The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions, Olive Branch Press, 2005), the case is made that the staff of the 9/11 Commission acted as gatekeepers who followed the official explanation of events of 9/11, rather than acting as true independent investigators.  Griffin gives detailed and abundant evidence that he feels shows Philip Zelikow and his staff did not thoroughly investigate information that was contrary to what the Bush Administration had already accepted as the facts of 9/11.

Last fall I had a conversation with Zelikow, which I feel supports the ideas and evidence of Professor Griffin's book.  But before I go into what Dr. Zelikow told me in person, let us look at the facts of Zelikow's association with members of the Bush Administration over the past 15 years.  The reason I present this "bio" of Dr. Zelikow is that, while we expect any person might receive a job offer based on whom they have worked with and have known in the past, this was not an ordinary job.  This job was to oversee the official investigation of a most serious and consequential crime, and it occurred under the watch of President Bush's Administration.  Dr.Philip Zelikow, despite his fine record of integrity and scholarship, was clearly not independent from the Bush Administration.  And since Bush, Cheney and Rice were three of the witnesses who testified before the Commission, their relationship with Zelikow is relevant.

Dr. Zelikow was on the National Security Council of President George H.W. Bush in the 1980s, working as an aide to National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft.  Condoleeza Rice was also an aide, working with Zelikow.  In 1997, Zelikow and Rice co-authored a book.  Also in the 1990s, Zelikow directed the Aspen Strategy Group, which included Rice, Scowcroft, Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz and others.  Then after President George W. Bush was elected in 2000, Zelikow was appointed to the National Security Council transition team to provide recommendations to Rice as she accepted the position of National Security Advisor to Bush.  Shortly after 9/11, Zelikow was appointed to President Bush's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.  In 2003, he was appointed Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission, and took a leave from his position as Director of the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia.

After the 9/11 Commission Report was finished in July 2004, and the Commission was dissolved, Zelikow returned to his previous Miller Center position for a few months.  Recently he left the Miller Center job completely and became Counselor of the Department of State, as announced by new Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on February 25, 2005.  To quote Rice in the U.S State Department press release of that day, "Philip and I have worked together for years, and I value his counsel and expertise.  I appreciate his willingness to take on this assignment." To quote the State Department press release, "Though the position has been vacant since 2001, the office of the Counselor is not new, having been part of the Department's organization since 1909.  The Counselor is a principal officer of the Department.  As Counselor, Dr. Zelikow will serve as a senior policy advisor on a wide range of issues and will undertake special assignments as directed by the Secretary."

So we see from these facts that Philip Zelikow's work with members of the Bush Administration preceded his 9/11 Commission work for 15 years, and it has now resumed again, fulltime.  Apparently we are supposed to assume that during 2003-2004, when he was Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission, he was NOT "associated with" members of the Bush Administration as he had been before, and is again now.  He was somehow able to distance himself from his past relationship with them, oversee the interviews of many witnesses, thoroughly investigate all of the evidence, and supervise the writing of the final 9/11 Commission Report without being influenced by his past association with them.  And now he has been able to re-associate with them in good stead and be re-hired by the Bush Administration fulltime in an important position.
Dr. Zelikow gave a lecture at the Miller Center at UVA on September 10, 2004 titled, "The Road to 9/11," and another on October 14, titled, "The Road From 9/11." I attended the second of the two lectures and had an opportunity afterwards to have a conversation with him for several minutes.  Among other things, I asked him why the Commission did not report more evidence that would answer the specific conspiracy concerns and questions that have been circulating regarding 9/11.  I asked him why the Commission would let these concerns go unanswered and cause unnecessary doubt and dissent in the country.

I pointed out to Dr. Zelikow that one of many reasons this conspiracy talk about 9/11 continues is that there have been no photos released of the Boeing 757 wreckage inside the Pentagon, or outside either, as we normally see after a civilian plane crash.  I asked if he has seen photos that show the wreckage of the 757.  He said, yes, they have photos, and that he has seen them, and he also said that there are eyewitness reports from a dozen or so rescue workers at the Pentagon who confirm seeing those airplane parts in the wreckage.  Well, I asked, can I or some other ordinary person see these photos? He said no.  I asked if I could see the rescue worker's statements, and he said no.  I told him I had seen photos of the exterior Pentagon wall before it collapsed, and the hole where the plane entered appeared to be only about 20 feet in diameter, with unbroken window frames on either side of it where the wings and engines would have hit.  This hole was much too small for a 757 to enter, and no wreckage of the plane is shown on the ground outside.  He said those photos might have been "adjusted" in scale by someone to give the wrong impression.  I asked if I or anyone else could see the National Transportation Safety Board report about the crash, or even about the 757 being picked up by radar as it approached Washington, and he said no.  He said that the air traffic controllers at Dulles saw on their radar that a plane was approaching, without its transponder turned on, but they could not identify it just by radar.  It was not one scheduled to come into Dulles, so they assumed it was landing at Reagan National, and when it dropped off their radar at the Pentagon they knew something was wrong.  This was 35 minutes after the second World Trade Center Tower had been hit.  I told him this explanation defied reason, but he said it is proven in the NTSB Report, which I can't see.

I told Dr. Zelikow that this secrecy of the 9/11 Commission is still fueling conspiracy theories and distrust throughout the country and around the world.

Then I asked him why he and the Commission and the staff don't simply release photos and other information to the public so that we can rest assured that the Commission has fully investigated and answered these and other persistent questions.  His answer was that the staff, including himself of course as Executive Director, made a conscious decision not to dignify these outrageous conspiracy theories" by investigating them or reporting on them.  In my opinion, this statement by Dr. Zelikow lends credence to Professor Griffin's charge that Zelikow's staff acted as a filter of what would be investigated and reported.

Dr. Zelikow then told me he could see my point about the public wanting to know more, and he said he would go back to the Commission staff and re-visit the question of what to release.  We're still waiting.

Americans are concerned about the unanswered questions of 9/11.  The reputable polling firm, Zogby International, conducted a poll of State of New York citizens in August 2004.  Results showed that 49.3% of New York City residents and 41% of New York citizens overall said that some of our leaders "Knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act." Nearly 30% of registered Republicans agreed with this statement, despite the serious legal and political implications.  Only 36% of the total respondents believed that the 9/11 Commission had " answered all the important questions about what actually happened on September 11th," and 66% want another full investigation of the "still unanswered questions."

CSPAN2 recently broadcast, and rebroadcast, the speech Professor Griffin gave about his book to a standing-room-only crowd at the University of Wisconsin.

People are paying attention and learning and speaking up.  As the 9/11 Commission Report approaches its 1-year anniversary, many Americans are not celebrating, nor are they letting it all just fade away.  We pay the salaries of those who have made conscious decisions to investigate and report only what fits their own version of 9/11 events, and their own vision of what the world should be like for them.  It seems that "we the people" are considered by some officials to be just bystanders, without the right to see the evidence that our leaders have seen, and to decide for ourselves what is true.  The Bush Administration has demonstrated a pervasive pattern of secrecy, deception, and arrogance, not just related to the 9/11 investigation.  They have left the rest of us in the dark, but we can see well enough to fear that the Emperor has no clothes.

Subject: M* Comment Re: UFO UpDate: Greg Boone on "Jaime Maussan Is Still My Hero"

Hi, Fellows...

I agree with Greg.

Understanding and speaking Spanish fluently as I do, I have watched Mr. Maussan for many years on Spanish Cable TV News and he is always professional and direct.  His work on Mexican UFOs and crop circle messages are exceptional.

I have studied that famous "ET touching the boy playing soccer" cell phone video and I find no signs of hoaxing.  It is a very interesting piece of video, sadly of low resolution, but the kid's reaction and his "adrenaline rush" is not something that can be faked as easily as some might think.

In studying that video, I found the head of the creature peering out on the left side of the light pole (and his shoulder showing at another point on the left side of the pole) long before he appears in the open to touch the boy.  The ET appears to be lurking, lying in wait, for several seconds before the boy comes down the street chasing the ball.

Mr. Maussan has an exceptional collection of UFO videos taken in Mexico and his comments are always cogent and coherent.  Mr. Maussan was the first to show the June 2000 World Trade Center Helicopter Tour UFO at a UFO conference in San Diego (2000), which has appeared on and which some take to be a post 9/11 hoax but I saw the video on Mexican TV in June, 2001 when the WTC was still standing.  Why did an American citizen have to seek out a Mexican UFOlogist to take her video seriously? I think it is the narrowmindedness of many people on this side of the border, characterized by reflexive (or congenital?) skepticism, that prevents many from seeing "the forest for the trees" or from "sour grapes" simply because they did not see it first.

The WTC video was shot by a woman on a NYC helicopter tour identified simply as "Barbara S." around June 26th (or 28th), 2000.  The helicopter pilot's stunned reaction pointing ("There IT IS!") to the UFOs instantaneous acceleration and repositioning near the East River is electrifying to anyone who sees and studies the video.  I have analyzed the unedited version frame-by-frame and find it convincing.

It is curious that the UFO passes WTC Tower 2 at approximately the same altitude(one can see it descend early in the tape before anyone notices it and it passes between the towers) where the second plane struck before appearing in the open on the right side of the towers.  It is curious that some people taped a UFO in the same area during the attacks and that has yet to be shown on any American televison or cable station.

Furthermore, I believe that much of the US skepti-bunkers' criticism of Mr. Maussan and other Hispanic/Latin UFOlogists is the result of anti-Mexican prejudices and of their disdain for "Spanish accents" in general (or in other cases Portuguese or Italian) more than anything else.

Another unwarranted criticism is that of "profiting" from UFOlogy.

In what other profession is it considered a sign of "dishonesty" (or of ulterior motives) to profit from one's chosen profession?

Or to use such profits (a mere pittance of what they really deserve to be paid) to further their own INDEPENDENT research?

This is a tactic explicitly recommended to "debunkers" of the JFK Assassination (and applied to UFOs) in CIA Document 1035-960:

"b. To employ propaganda assets to [negate] and refute the attacks of the critics.  Book reviews and feature articles are particularly appropriate for this purpose.  The unclassified attachments to this guidance should provide useful background material for passing to assets.  Our ploy should point out, as applicable, that the critics are (I) wedded to theories adopted before the evidence was in, (II) politically interested, (III) financially interested, (IV) hasty and inaccurate in their research, or (V) infatuated with their own theories."

(Emphasis M*)

In any TV interview regarding the JFK affair or UFOs (which are intimately related) you will see the interviewer "de riguer" parroting this litany of accusations to discredit the researcher.

So, if you are going to be interviewed for television commentary on UFO topics, you should be prepared with answers to counter what they term "our ploys."
That is all...

Dear Ray,

As so often happens, our conversation on the function of the Lateral Geniculate Nucleus led me intuitively to another link that contains a very significant "coincidence" although a "Jungian synchronicity" is a more appropriate word.

Consider this excerpt from an excellent website by the German UFOlogist, Dr. Johannes Fiebag, Phd.:
"It is important to understand that if an abductee has a lot of conscious memory, after repeated exposure to alien camouflage, the abductee will be able to see through their tricks.  They will eventually lose the edge they have over the abductee, which I personally find very interesting.  In other words, there is hope for abductees who are able to remain conscious and in mental control of their situation.  If you are having these types of camouflage experiences, try to focus on the logic of the situation and what you are seeing, rather than on the emotions or fear the situation is creating.

Other reasons the aliens use the technique of camouflage is to create a calming effect.  To present an image of the abductee's sweet old grandmother or a small owl or innocent deer, is much less traumatic for some people than to see the face of a non-human being.  All of this is a form of manipulation, but somewhat of a benign form of it.  Unfortunately, the aliens also use camouflage for other purposes.

Consider a child being examined by the aliens.  Because the child is fighting or frightened, the aliens decide to use the image of the child's mother or father in order to get the child to "obey." What if the child was being examined in a way inappropriate for the parent, but not for a doctor? The child may then carry with them throughout their lives a negative feeling about one of the parents, or that the parent was present and did nothing to ease their pain.  Worse still, when considering some of the more sexually oriented abduction experiences, the child may actually believe the parent sexually or physically abused them when they did not.  This last example is a tragic result of alien camouflage.

One thing I am certain of (when it comes to the aliens' use of camouflage, and especially the more encompassing screen memory) is this: It is the aliens' "choice" to deceive us, and I feel they know enough about humans by now to have a good idea what the psychological effects of this type of deception will be.  To continue to use camouflage on their human subjects leads me to suspect one of two things:
(1) whatever they are doing here must be important enough for them to take these kinds of risks with our mental health, or
(2) they do not care much about the effects their deception has on us."
  (Emphasis mine, M*)

(Fri.)  Thanks for the lead Robert,
There's a good deal of uncertainty in this area, some of it perhaps intentionally created.  Even so, think some statistical conclusions might be possible.  Hope to let you know first, if and when.

And checking out some of Dr Fiebag's articles has been absorbing to say the least - maybe should append these links as information for reader:-

best regards

Hello, Ray,

Your lead on "Alien Senses Summary" actually led me to this site and I thought I would reciprocate the favor.

We rarely get to read details of European (German/Austrian) abductions and this article by Dr. Johannes Fiebag, Phd. is very well-written.  I have been tracking the bloodlines and genotypes involved in UFO abductions since the 3 Reeves Family cases of the 1950s (first noted by John Keel) in trying to determine what it is exactly that interests "The Grey Presence" in pursuing Northern and Eastern European genotypes on both sides of the Atlantic.
The current UFO/ETAP flap in Poland is very interesting.

p.s.  Here are my 2 latest contributions published in UFO Digest:

(Tues.) Hi Robert,
thanks for that info - (for me) all three articles are interesting and well worth featuring (so I have).  Admit to admiring your expertise on those subjects - and would welcome any updates.

Dear Friend,
I produced some videos that I would like you to see.
I tried to show an illustration of UFO's in international popular culture.

Best wishes,

Thanks for your message - it is published [here] and flagged at "updates" page.
The videos are interesting, and maybe even representative - although I'm not an expert in that field.
Best regards

Hi Friend,
Yup, real enough to drink a mug of tea while writing this (8 am Tues) - although some (many?) `authority-figures' seem to want to change that.  Wonder why?
Best wishes - keep smiling - and posting!

10th - just traced `blind freddy' - think you're maybe in Oz?  And that you share with me, on dragonland border, some impatience with complicit media covering-up stupidity, incompetence, crooks & crims in authority
