Subject: Re: Next New Moon / Eclipse & Loren Date: Sat, 01 Oct 2005 21:43:06 +0100 From: Ray Dickenson Info for new Forteans, & thanks to Loren, whose message reminded that new folks might want background on that eclipse warning. Eclipses are useful because "track" of alignment is easily visible - (check this upcoming one at http://spaceweather.com ) - and, as spectacularly seen in autumn 1999, effects tend to follow that track. (Although it's impossible to forecast a quake, just the increased likelihood of quakes - 'cos accumulated pressures are needed to be triggered by the alignment track). Obviously tracks of other alignments (like upcoming double alignment in first week of November - New Moon overlapping Sun / Earth / Mars line-up) aren't "visible" 'cos no shadow - however, you _can_ find the track using software like Professor Aldo Vitagliano's SOLEX at http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/pc/simtelnet/win95/science/?fisel=sS Remembering that the track is a line of weakness _through_ the Earth, therefore, while this eclipse shadow (see http://spaceweather.com) travels from SW Spain thru N Africa to Rift Valley (approx.) - that line of weakness equally goes thru the Earth, making a track from New Zealand thru Pacific towards Alaska / California coasts. Thanks again Loren - new folk might want to use the info. cheers Ray D PS eclipse due due 10:27 UTC 03 Oct '05 - effects _can_ precede but generally follow within 1 - 3 days ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Perceptions" http://www.perceptions.couk.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Add. - updating forecasts should be at checkalign.html --------------------------------------------- FURTHER REFERENCES GO - "search perceptions" - in SEARCH-ENGINE file-ID www.perceptions.couk.com/loren.txt
