2005 - School-girl forced to offer "payment" to teachers - for regular teaching. "I'll do chores for lessons" A DESPERATE girl of 15 has offered to do chores for tuition - after accusing her school of failing her. Becky Bates will walk dogs or do housework for ex-teachers who can help her get good GCSE grades. The ambitious youngster says some staff at Hewett School, Norwich, have ALREADY written off her chances. Now she has sent a letter to her local paper in a last-ditch plea, outlining her offer. Becky said yesterday: "I’m told I’m stupid, but I’m not. I want to be taught properly." Head Tom Samain met her mum Nina, 38, yesterday after saying Becky had not reported her concerns before. He added: "I am surprised she has not been to see me."
