One object, about 300 feet across, was observed by numerous witnesses at a mountain very briefly. 23 January 1974 Before 2100 - Oswestry, UK - Unidentified objects were sighted, ... More than one object was observed by more than one male witness. 23 January 1974 After 2100 - Holyhead, UK - One object was observed by more than one witness on the ocean. 24 January 1974 19:20 Gobowen, UK - Instrumented observation - A hovering flying disc was observed using optical instruments. One disc was observed by three witnesses in a residential area for 11 minutes (Upton). [UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.] 24 January 1974 20:40 - Caen Nw, France - Independent witnesses. Viewed through binoculars. Fast moving brilliant white disc, made no sound. rapidly to the north. An object was observed. Multiple independent witnesses. One white disc was observed by more than two witnesses in a city. No sound was heard. --- BTW - 23rd was a dark night (New Moon) and Venus was not visible, being at `conjunction'.
