We thought you would like to know that there have been strong
indications that Gordon Brown has decided to kill off the proposed
fees regulations on which the Department for Constitutional Affairs
(now the Ministry of Justice) was consulting.
This is referred to in an article "Chancellor to block moves to water down FOI' in The Daily Telegraph on 23 May, which stated: The Chancellor is ready to block plans drawn up by Lord Falconer
which critics claim are designed to make it more difficult for people
to obtain information from Whitehall.

The Lord Chancellor's proposals would mean the cost of inquiries
included the time that officials took to decide whether to accede to
a request, not just the time it took to track down the information.
Sources said last night that Mr Brown felt Lord Falconer's plans were
unsustainable.
However, while the Chancellor is prepared to block them when he moves
into No 10, he believes that Richard Thomas, the Information
Commissioner, needs to beef up his response to genuinely vexatious
inquiries.
Officials believe that Mr Thomas can do more to deal with the
relatively small number of people who submit repeated requests on the
same issue, tying up officials' time in an endless paper chase."

To clarify - at the moment the next prime minister-to-be, Mr Brown is "The Chancellor" (Finance Minister) but Lord Falconer is the "Lord Chancellor" (in charge of judges & courts etc)

Dear Friend,
David Maclean MP's Freedom of Information (Amendment) Bill will be
debated again this Friday (May 18th) when its report stage continues
in the Commons.
The Bill would remove Parliament from the scope of the Freedom of
Information Act and create a new exemption for MPs' communications
with public authorities. It has been explained as a measure that
would protect the privacy of MPs' constituents.
In a letter to MPs, the Campaign for Freedom of Information has said
it believes the bill is unnecessary for this purpose. It says
correspondence sent by an MP to a public authority on behalf of a
constituent is already exempt under the FOI Act's existing
exemptions. Moreover, the Campaign says this does not explain why it
is proposed to remove Parliament itself (which does not hold MPs'
correspondence) from the FOI Act's scope.
A separate briefing by the Campaign refers to a speech made this week
by the Speaker of the New Zealand Parliament calling for New
Zealand's Official Information Act to be extended to cover the New
Zealand Parliament.
The briefing concludes:
"For Parliament to exclude itself from the Act would send a deeply
negative message to the rest of the public sector. It would suggest
that MPs consider that the drawbacks of compliance outweigh the
public benefit. That would make it harder for those conscientious
officials who are trying to persuade their colleagues to adopt an
open approach and reinforce the views of authorities which are
themselves resisting disclosure."
Today's Times has a joint letter signed by Article 19, the Campaign
for FOI, Index on Censorship, Justice, Liberty and Unlock Democracy:
"We hope MPs will not support this measure, which would undermine
their accountability to constituents. To pass this Bill would send an
extraordinary signal to the public: MPs feel an obligation to pay lip
service to transparency but are unwilling to take on serious openness
obligations themselves."

Jack Straw, the Leader of the House of Commons, expressed support for the Maclean Bill yesterday (May 10) and suggested that the Information Commissioner's decisions were undermining Parliament's
intentions in relation to MPs' correspondence.
The Campaign has issued a press release criticising Mr Straw for this "totally unjustified" attack on the Commissioner and pointing out
that any suggestion that he has ordered or encouraged authorities to release MPs' correspondence on behalf of constituents is "pure fantasy".
The press release also criticises the Labour Party's Parliamentary Committee which has written to all Labour backbenchers urging them to
support David Maclean's Bill in the House of Commons on May 18.

We have til the end of today to sign the petition to stop the FDA from ruling that all vitamins, supplements and alternative health care modalities are 'alternative medicine' which means that anyone who buys, suggests or practices any alternative health care will be
practicing medicine without a license and will be fined or jailed for such practices under the new Codex Alimentarus law that is part of the European Directives.... New World Order......

Subject: David Maclean Bill - debate delayed
Dear Colleague
David Maclean's private member's bill [below] to remove Parliament and MP's
correspondence from the scope of the Freedom of Information Act was not debated today.
Mr Maclean withdrew it from the order paper last night and has rescheduled it for May 18th.
It is not yet clear whether the purpose of this change was:
(a) to avoid any further unfavourable publicity before the local elections;
(b) to ensure that it was debated on a day when it would be the first item of business. Another bill, which completed its committee stage this week, had gone ahead of the Maclean bill in today's queue, increasing the chances of the Maclean bill being talked out again.
(c) to try and have the bill debated on a day when sufficient supporters of it (at least 100 would be needed) are there to force a vote to be taken despite any attempt to talk it out.
(d) some other so far unsuspected reason...

did you know that a mother is being kept in prison charged with attempted child abduction?
The child she is being accused of abducting is her own which social services took away from her at 6 days old saying the child was at risk of harm as the mother had suffered post traumatic stress disorder earlier in her life due to being bullied at school, being raped by a known paedophile and finding her father dead.
Her own doctor has said she does not suffer any more - she took the child from an ss contact then called her mother both were arrested at Heathrow airport and locked in cells for three days whilst the grandmothers house was searched by police - they took her pc bank statement and other personal documents - the grand mother is from Kenya and holds a dual passport she was refused the right to contact the Kenyan embassy whilst under arrest she has wrote to them about this.
The baby is in foster care - all the mothers human rights were taken away even being stopped by ss from breast feeding her baby at 5 days old.
The baby was nine weeks old when the attempted abduction took place. They will not allow any family members to care for the baby.

Subject: Maclean Bill - Commons debate continues this week
Dear Friend,
David Maclean's Bill to remove Parliament from the scope of the FOI Act [below] was blocked ('talked out') in the House of Commons on Friday, by
opponents of the bill who made lengthy speeches, preventing the final vote being taken.
However, the debate will continue this Friday 27 April. At the moment it looks like it could be the first item on the agenda again, but this could change depending on the progress of other bills.
Opponents of the bill may have to be prepared to keep the debate going for at another 5 hours on Friday to block it again.
The main MPs who blocked the bill last week, were Norman Baker (Lib Dem), Simon Hughes (Lib Dem), Richard Shepherd (Con) and David
Winnick (Lab). They will need all the help they can get from other MPs who oppose the bill if they are to block the bill for a second time.
You can help by writing to your own MP or any other MP you are in touch with expressing your concern that Parliament could legislate to
remove itself from scrutiny under the FOI Act and asking them to oppose the bill on Friday. Unfortunately MPs tend to use Fridays for
constituency business, so many may not be planning to be in the Commons on the day.

The FDA, the enforcement arm of Big Pharma is at it again. Please sign this petition and send it to everyone you know that will suffer because of big business attempts to steal your money and your health.
There is a crisis in health freedom. On April 30, 2007 the FDA will close the public comment period on a "Guidance" which will classify every alternative practice as medicine so that only licensed physicians can carry out the procedure AND vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc., will suddenly become "untested drugs" which will be forbidden.

I just got in touch with Karen Kottmeier in USA and she informs me that this adoption fostering issue is world wide money racked and a social experiment in better breeeding of humand...eugenics perhaps. it is a huge world-wide problem.
From what I understand, it began with the "Age of Enlightenment" when people began to think scientifically, rather than believing that everything natural was 'God's Will".
Science is great and has been the cause of much progress in the world, but at a huge cost.
Adoption came about(I have read and heard) when certain "social scientists" began to tinker with the family, created utopian social programs, and experimented with 'breeding" better people (eugenics).
Anyway, now the governments are trying to redefine the family and are moving children from one family to another.
No one knows who anyone is anymore.
Heritage has been lost.
Adoption and child transfer have many supporters, to our misfortune.
It is a huge industry.
Here in the USA, we have multiple problems.
We have religious organizations and churches which are getting grant money from the government to do adoptions, so they are able to threaten young parents into surrendering their children.
In many cases, the young parents families force them to surrender the children.
We also have government social workers who can take children from their parents and place them in foster care if the house is messy or the parents look too poor.
Adopters are also encouraged to get children from foreign countries.
Adopters get tax subsidies and tax credits for adopting children.
Then the records are sealed and the parents and children cannot find each other.

I will let you have my whole story for what it is worth. It is a short summary though.I tend to laugh at it these days, but for 12 years of homelessness, because of that system, almost killed me on every level. I am posting lots of your links for people to see now.
I was asked to do the journey with no books and then I would find truth inside. So, knowing it and proving it to people is difficult. They needed evidence and proof in front of them, so you are a blessing. Thank you.

I find you site amazingly accurate. Considering I heard all this in 1990. I never saw it written until I clicked onto it through fassit.co.uk.
I was born in Ireland the centre of shit as we say, but the church was a good cover up. I was exorcised myself for being too advanced, so you know how it goes. I lived to tell the tale and many more.
