Food boss defends beef import policy No evidence of BSE, says Krebbs The head of Britain's Food Standards Agency had defended the way Britain has responded to the French BSE outbreak. Sir John Krebbs said the agency had no evidence that infected beef was being imported - and therefore had no reason to recommend a total ban.
